After a few weeks off, the grumpy couple you love to love is back. And less patient than ever! Dunkirk, Freddy travails, staging a house, Andy Harper, Canadian/Canadan, Godin bass, angry old ladies in L.A., and a few thoughts on the mental midget currently slobbering and slathering his way through the once respected Oval Office.

Ba Dow, duh duh Ba Dow Wow... The iconic intro to "Bad Things" was created by todays guest: Eric "Ebo" Borash. A career guitar slinger with the toniest of tones, Ebo is also a damn fine electrical engineer. What do you get when those two worlds collide? Some of the finest hand made tube amplifiers in the world. His company, EBO Customs, is just one year old and already on stage with Billy Gibbons, Joe Walsh, and Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers. Rumor has it that the newest member of The Eagles (Vince Gill!) will be taking a few of these babies out for a spin as well. Funny, raw, and real, Jace and Ebo talk about old times, these times, and the times to come.

An encore episode this week of the beautiful Ms. Leigh Nash! We will be ack with a new episode next week.

Although best known for her stunning vocal work with Sixpence None the Richer, Leigh Nash has a voice that transcends genres. From her upbringing in Texas, to her time in Christian music, leading to the pop supernova of "Kiss Me", and "There She Goes", not many people might have expected her most recent move. The torch and twang opus "The State I'm In", is a futuristic throwback record. Jace discusses music, Che Guevara, and the joys of Northwestern dispensaries with the always charming, Leigh Nash.

Who's got two cocktails and a microphone? This is, indeed, where it's at folks. The continuing ramblings of the blissfully wed. Discussing dog poop, IKEA, Predators, predators, rich kids with fast cars, TONIC (the band), and other stuff. Jace & Nicole, sittin' in an attic...

It takes a special kinda personality to make it in the music business. It takes an even more special personality to HELP other people make it in the business. Though Will Rambeaux has had a string of number one hits as a writer, and countless cuts... It seems his real calling in life has been being the Mentor. The Shepherd to the Sheep, if you will. In 2001 when Jace moved back to town, none other than Will helped him as much or more than anybody. Will still does that today with his new venture Go Long Entertainment.

Suicide, cassette tapes, depression, feet, baby poop... Possibly the most "gross" episode yet. But, with a touch of profound sadness! Won't you join us? Jace & Nicole count their blessings, and the scars on Jace's right foot.

Check out the new record and videos!

What happens when two podcasters get together? They talk. A lot. Michael J is a guitar player, artist, and podcaster. He's also a really thoughtful guy that knows how to have a far reaching conversation. Of course, Mr. Mouth (Jace) does more than his fair share of talking on this one...

Check out Michael J's music and his podcast:

You say pillow, I say Pell Oh. Babies who just walk into your life. And the economic brain trust in Chief. Jace and Nicole limp up to the attic with Freddy the Love Bug to discuss the important things in life. Comme habitude.

Here's the Economist article they discuss:

But never mind that, buy the new record! DUST & DIRT

The lovely and talented Mr. David Newbould is on the show today. His journey from Canada to Nashville has had quite a few interesting stops along the way. A bonafide original, Newbould marries classic singer/songwriter fare with an intensely flamboyant presentation and a fine slab of rock and roll guitar. Great music. Great guy.

There's about 15 minutes of Jace blathering about healthcare at the top of the show. He hopes you'll listen. The rest of us are dubious about it. Fast forward to about 16:30 if you don't wanna hear that bit!

Jace & Nicole are back on the mic after a ponderously long absence. To Discuss: A new record. Some touring news. Foot surgery. Living with people that tour. Cinco de Mayo with an Italian accento. Do you wanna dog? So many things. But mostly, go buy Jace's record.

While Jace is on tour, we offer up one of our most compelling episodes: Escondido! The duo of Tyler James and Jessica Maros get real. VERY real. We we're fairly sure this was the end of the band. However, they are in fact making a new record that we here at Nashville Later can't wait to hear!

Hey folks, Jace is on the road in Europe for a few weeks, so we are presenting a few encore episodes. Today we go back to episode #21 with Rick Brantley! Rick just released his new record "HI FI". Listen to this great conversation, but then make sure and go buy the mans music! He's the real deal.

Give a child a fish and they eat for a day. Teach a child to fish and they eat for a lifetime. Some reading and math might help too. Public education has many issues it's struggling with today. One that might be easily overlooked, and yet have resounding consequences, is truancy. Todays guest, Magistrate Jennifer Wade, knows about the struggle. She also has some clues toward the solutions. A wonderful woman, and a genuine servant of our community, Jace sits down with Jennifer to discuss the root issues to some systemic problems. And just how you might be a bigger part of the fix than you could ever imagine.

Luke Dick. Writing hits, loving the Mrs., making movies about strippers (including his mom), and basically rewriting the book on how you get it done. Jace and Luke have a wide ranging conversation that barely scratches the surface on the depth of Luke’s brain. To say nothing of his heart. This is a good one, folks. Dig in.

It's tax time. So this will be brief. Jace is pulling his hair out with 1099's. Nicole is cool as a cucumber. And the big reveal; co-habitation with the in-laws? Oh Jeez...

Speaking of in-laws, a little sneak listen to a track Jace did with Chris Gantry rides us out:"The Whole Shebang"

Mar 27, 2017

Math. What is it good for? Turns out, just about everything. Dr. Chuck Higgins is an Associate Professor of Astronomy and Physics at Middle Tennessee State University. Jace sits down with Chuck to discuss why he teaches, the bad rap math gets, and the looming Solar Eclipse that will be making a grand show here in Middle Tennessee later this summer. Chuck isn't just a "thinky guy", he's a thoughtful conversationalist. And in this one we line up the x and y axis between head and heart.

An exceptionally random episode of the Jace & Nicole show. Happy Hump Day. Featuring bizarre antics by Frederick Douglass (the dog), hot sports opinions on myriad subjects by the dynamic duo, and shameless self promotion by Jace.

Check out Jace's latest single, "Woke Up in This Town". Which may pretty familiar to listeners of the show!

Smarts, savvy, and soul. Sam Lewis has them all in spades. Jace sits down with this Nashville based singer-songwriter to discuss Abraham Lincoln socks, playing arenas, playing house concerts, and what it feels like to steal another mans band. Sam has some UK dates coming up in April. Go see him.

Whether it's writing hit songs for the Music Row crowd, leading the ever popular Long Players, playing second guitar in Cheap Trick, or sharing his incredible knowledge of music history with Hall of Fame visitors, Bill Lloyd is a busy man. From the Power Pop passion of his youth, to the chart topping Foster & Lloyd, and back again... Bill has never lost that spark; a love of music that is just as strong today as it was the first time he heard The Beatles.

On International Women's Day, Nicole has some thoughts, Jace is his typical sunny self, and in the end, women really will rule the world.

Jace and Dan are gonna do a thing at Exit/In Friday Night

Former guest Andrew Sovine is hosting a benefit for former guest Smith Curry. You should come.

Mar 6, 2017

From Jason Aldean to Kid Rock to up and comers you'll hear about soon, Smith Curry has been laying down the dobro, lap steel, and pedal steel for years. A rock and roll approach sets him apart. But he still tips his hat to the pioneers that proceeded him, as he takes the unique instrument into the future.

Smith and his family lost their home to a fire on March 2nd. If you have the means, please help them out in this difficult time.
